Cheap Eats: Peep in SoHo

Another one of my favorite restaurants to grab lunch at in the city is Peep, on Prince Street in SoHo. They serve up some really delicious Thai food (yes, I know, another Thai restaurant... I just really like Thai) and not only is it a great deal, but it's also presented really beautifully.

During the weekend, you can get lunch at Peep for $7.50 per person, which includes a drink, appetizer and entree. Not a bad deal at all!

Quite possibly the most fun part about this restaurant is the reason behind its name: the bathroom doors are actually two-way mirrors, so that you can see the entire dining room from inside the bathroom while the diners can only see their own reflections. Sort of creepy, but sort of cool at the same time.

  1. Haha well the food and environment sound great, but to be honest the Peeping Tom bathroom concept really creeps me out. This doesn't mean I'm not very curious to go see what it's like!

  2. Yeah, it's definitely a little creepy. Especially when you are in the bathroom and someone walks up to the door to wait to use it because you can see them RIGHTTHERE on the other side of the glass. Definitely fun though :)

  3. Is it just me or are most Thai restaurants in NYC really affordable?

  4. I've been here! The food was really really good and they have an awesome lunch deal. Although my co-workers played an evil joke on me. When we went one day for lunch, they decided not to mention the creepy bathroom and proceeded to stare in my direction while I went to the bathroom. NOT a funny joke. but i do love this place!
